What Fomology is

Fomology rates the surf sessions of the coming days from public forecast models and answers questions about them through an AI assistant. The forecasts are free; the assistant comes with free credit every week, and more can be bought. It is still being built, and it can change or stop at any time.

Assistant credit

Each answer from the assistant uses credit. Every account gets a free allowance each week, renewed on Monday at midnight, Paris time. What is left of it at the end of the week does not carry over.

You can buy more credit on the website, in packs priced in euros, VAT included. Stripe takes the payment and sells you the credit as merchant of record, so its terms also apply to the payment.

Credit you buy never expires and is only used once the weekly allowance is spent. It has no cash value: it cannot be exchanged for money or moved to another account. Prices and what a pack buys may change; credit already bought keeps its value.

Credit is added to your account as soon as the payment goes through. Because you ask for it straight away, you give up the 14-day right of withdrawal, which you confirm before paying.

If you delete your account, its credit goes with it. If Fomology stops, we will tell you at least 30 days before, so you can use what is left; credit not used by then is not refunded.

Forecasts are not a safety call

Ratings, tides and the assistant’s answers are estimates. Forecasts miss, and the assistant can be wrong with confidence. Look at the water before you paddle out, know your limits and follow local rules and warnings: you decide whether to surf, and you carry that risk.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if someone else gets into your account. One account per person.

Fair use

Do not try to break, overload or scrape the service, reach other people’s data, or use the assistant for anything unrelated to surfing at scale. We may suspend an account that does.

No warranty

Fomology is provided as it is, without any guarantee of accuracy or availability. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it or from relying on what it says.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and using Fomology after that means you accept the new version. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
